I'm thinking of homeschooling ..... BUT ....

BUT ... I don't have a teaching degree.  I'm too inadequate.  Throughout scripture, God often takes people from humble beginnings.  He also uses unlikely candidates for His plans.  Moses had trouble speaking.  Jeremiah was too young.  David was the youngest of his brothers and worked as a shepherd.  1 Samuel 17:15 "But David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father's sheep at Bethlehem."

Sometimes You Just Have To Cry

I’m peeking out of my writing sabbatical just to share some thoughts…

The other day my 4-year-old had a melt-down of sorts.  I asked her what was wrong and she said, “I don’t know.”  So I sat her in my lap and held her while she just cried and cried for about 10 minutes.  Now, please don’t let this give you some false illusion of my awesomeness as a mom.  More often than not, my impatience and task-oriented nature get in the way of me being the softest place my child (and others) can fall in a given moment.  Yet, I digress… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

I think people have a misconception that when you get married, you have arrived. In fact, I think we believe that about everything. We don't see life as a constant but as a destination. So, we want to get out of high school. Some aren't encouraged to go to college. But for those who are, you want to go to college.
